The South Asia Studies program at the University of Missouri is an interdisciplinary program consisting of faculty whose teaching and research interests focus on the Indian subcontinent. Courses cover a wide range of fields, regions, and periods of time. Professors to the South Asian Studies Committee are appointed by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and have a primary appointment in departments such as Anthropology, Economics, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Sociology, Women and Gender Studies.
